Into the Woods sits off of County Road 7, a paved two-lane highway that provides a quick alternative access to downtown Grand Marais. You'll be only 4 minutes away from the entrance of Cascade River State Park, and a quick 5-minute drive to the Cut Face Creek Wayside rest area, where you can hop on the scenic Gitchi Gami bike trail. Enjoy the perfect balance of seclusion and proximity to outdoor adventures and town amenities.

Where is the property located?
The home is located just one mile north of Lake Superior, offering easy access to this stunning natural wonder. Cascade River Wayside and Cut Face Creek Wayside are both five minutes from the property and offer easy access to the lake. You'll be close enough to enjoy the beauty and recreational opportunities the lake provides, while still enjoying the peace and privacy of your retreat.
What is cell phone service like?
For your convenience we have Fiber Optic broadband internet service at the cabin which provides excellent phone service. Please note, cell phone service can be spotty along the North Shore so be prepared to occasionally lose service when you are not on-site.
How do I check in to the property?
What is the check-in and check-out time?
Check-in is at 4:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM. If you need to adjust these times, please contact us in advance to see what’s possible.
Is there a minimum stay requirement?
We offer a self-check-in process using a smart lock. Detailed instructions will be provided in your booking confirmation email.
Yes, we require a minimum stay of 3 nights. During peak seasons or holidays, the minimum stay may be longer.
Cancellations made 30 days or more before the arrival date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 30 days after the arrival date are non-refundable.

To maintain a healthy and comfortable environment for all our guests, pets are not permitted in or around the property. While we adore animals, we've decided to keep Into the Woods pet-free to ensure the well-being and satisfaction of everyone who stays with us.

What should I do in case of an emergency?
Is there parking available?
Yes, there is parking available on the property. Please be aware that the entrance to our driveway includes a slight hill that can be challenging to navigate during the winter months without a four-wheel drive vehicle. Our driveway will be plowed after there is an accumulation of two inches or more of snow. However, for your safety and convenience, we highly recommend that guests do not visit during the winter months without a four-wheel drive vehicle.
How is the property cleaned?
The property is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between each guest stay. We follow strict cleaning protocols to ensure your safety.
Are there any additional fees?
In case of an emergency, call 911 or contact local authorities. The nearest hospital is North Shore Health, 515 5th Ave W, Grand Marais, MN 55604, (218) 387-3040. For non-urgent issues, you can reach out to us using the contact information provided in your welcome packet.
A cleaning fee is included in your booking. Additionally, a $250 security deposit is required. Please refer to the security deposit section for more details.
